A Sheffield Creative Evening to Remember: Weld & Wore x Kin Pottery Works

A Sheffield Creative Evening to Remember: Weld & Wore x Kin Pottery Works

We hosted our first ever collab event alongside Kin Pottery Works in Sheffield and it’s safe to say the evening was everything we hoped for and more.

Bringing together jewellery-making, pottery, creativity, and community, the event marked the official debut of the Weld & Wore Charm Bar experience. From personalised jewellery design to hands-on clay building, the night was filled with laughter, creativity, and so many beautiful finished pieces.

Welcoming Guests to Kin Pottery Works

The evening began as guests started arriving from 6pm. As everyone settled into the beautiful Kin Pottery Works studio, guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles while chatting, meeting one another, and getting excited for the workshops ahead.

The relaxed atmosphere made the event feel instantly welcoming, whether guests arrived with friends or booked solo.

Launching the Weld & Wore Charm Bar

The first part of the evening focused on the launch of our brand-new Charm Bar service. After a demonstration from the Weld & Wore team, guests began exploring our huge range of charms, chains carefully designing jewellery pieces that reflected their own personal style.

One of the best parts of the evening was seeing everyone help each other choose charms and build their designs. From colourful summer-inspired pieces to minimal silver and gold combinations, every creation felt completely unique.

As guests finalised their jewellery, we guided everyone through the process of attaching their charms using jump rings, allowing them to become part of the making process themselves. Throughout the evening, Natalie from Weld & Wore was also fitting permanent jewellery, giving guests the chance to leave with custom welded bracelets and necklaces.

Getting Creative with Clay at Kin Pottery Works

After a quick refresh break with more drinks and snacks, the evening moved onto the hand-building pottery session led by Rebecca from Kin Pottery Works.

Rebecca began with a live demonstration explaining how to work with the clay and use the pottery tools before guests started creating their own hand-built ceramic pieces. Throughout the workshop, the Kin team provided one-to-one support and guidance, helping everyone refine their ideas and perfect their final designs.

From textured bowls to decorative trinket dishes, every piece reflected each guest’s creativity and personality. Once their pottery was complete, guests were able to select their chosen finishing glaze before the pieces were prepared for firing.

Ending the Evening Together

As the evening came to a close, everyone gathered for a group photo and a final chat before heading home with their newly made jewellery and memories from the night.

Seeing so many people connecting, creating, and trying something new together was incredibly special, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for the event.

Thank You for an Amazing Evening

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event, to Rebecca and the team at Kin Pottery Works for hosting such an incredible workshop, and to our amazing Weld & Wore community for continuing to support our creative events and experiences. The success of the evening reminded us exactly why we love bringing people together through creativity, jewellery, and hands-on experiences.

And if you missed out… don’t worry - this definitely won’t be the last!
