An Evening of Permanent Jewellery, Cocktails & Connection: Weld & Wore x Kelu

An Evening of Permanent Jewellery, Cocktails & Connection: Weld & Wore x Kelu

At Weld & Wore, we love creating experiences that go beyond shopping. While you'll usually find us at our Meadowhall and White Rose kiosks, there's something incredibly special about taking our jewellery out into the local community and meeting customers in unique settings.

On 2nd July, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Kelu, a beautiful Sardinian-inspired Sky Lounge Bar in Kelham Island, Sheffield, for an intimate evening dedicated to permanent jewellery, personal styling, and meaningful conversation. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce new customers to Weld & Wore, reconnect with familiar faces, and spend the evening doing what we love most - creating jewellery with meaning.

A Beautiful Setting in the Heart of Kelham Island

Kelu provided the perfect backdrop for the evening. With its relaxed atmosphere, handcrafted cocktails, and welcoming interior, it created a calm and intimate environment where guests could unwind after work, enjoy a drink, and take their time exploring our jewellery collection.

Unlike the fast-paced environment of a shopping centre, this setting allowed us to have genuine conversations with every guest. We loved hearing the stories behind the jewellery people wanted to create, whether they were celebrating a milestone, marking a friendship, treating themselves, or simply looking for a timeless piece they could wear every day.

Discovering Permanent Jewellery

Permanent jewellery was at the heart of the evening, giving guests the opportunity to experience the process from start to finish.

Our permanent jewellery is custom-fitted to each individual before being carefully welded into place, creating a seamless piece designed to be worn continuously. With no traditional clasp, every bracelet, anklet, and necklace offers a minimal, elegant finish while becoming a lasting part of your everyday style.

Guests explored our collection of 925 sterling silver and 14k gold filled chains, taking time to compare styles and choose the one that best suited them. From delicate, understated designs to bolder statement chains, every piece was tailored to the wearer, making each design feel completely personal.

One of the most rewarding parts of the evening was seeing guests leave wearing jewellery that had been created especially for them. Permanent jewellery is about more than just accessorising - it's about creating pieces that hold memories, celebrate special moments, and become part of your story.

Introducing Our Charm Bar

Alongside our permanent jewellery collection, guests also had the opportunity to explore our new Charm Bar.

Our growing collection of charms allowed visitors to personalise their jewellery even further, adding meaningful details that reflected their personality and style. Whether guests chose to keep their designs simple or add a touch of colour and character, it was wonderful to see so much creativity throughout the evening.

The Charm Bar complemented our permanent jewellery beautifully, giving customers even more ways to create jewellery that felt completely unique to them.

More Than Just Jewellery

One of the things that made this event so memorable wasn't just the jewellery, it was the atmosphere.

With an exclusive guest list, we had the chance to spend quality time with everyone who visited. There was plenty of chatting, laughter, styling advice, and shared excitement as customers chose their chains and charms and watched their jewellery come to life. It felt less like a shopping event and more like an evening spent with friends, which is exactly what we hope every Weld & Wore event feels like.

These intimate pop-up events allow us to connect with our customers on a much more personal level, and they're quickly becoming one of our favourite parts of growing the Weld & Wore community.

Thank You, Kelu

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the evening and made the event such a success. It was a pleasure meeting so many lovely people, creating jewellery with you, and sharing such a relaxed evening together.

A special thank you also goes to the fantastic team at Kelu for welcoming us into their beautiful venue and helping create such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Collaborating with other independent Sheffield businesses is something we're incredibly passionate about, and we're so grateful to have shared this event together.

As Weld & Wore continues to grow, we're excited to bring even more permanent jewellery pop-ups, collaborations, and creative events to Sheffield and beyond. If you couldn't make this one, don't worry, there are plenty more exciting events on the horizon, and we'd love to see you at the next one.
